About KJB
The domain name probably gave it away, but I’m Kevin.
For over a decade, I’ve walked, pedaled, or driven through neighborhoods from Kingsbridge in the Bronx to Queenstown in New Zealand to document people, places, and things.
I’m drawn to the cinema of the everyday: wide frames, clean & geometric lines, natural light. Whether it’s a morning commute, a fall hike, or a trudge through a blizzard, I try to catch the moments that usually pass by unnoticed.
The places in my photos matter as much as the people or objects moving through them. I’m interested in how we live in and move through built environments (parks, bridges, sidewalks) and how those spaces shape our daily moments.
You can browse my photo galleries: New York City and Everywhere Else, or read from the journal I kept in 2015, when I biked from Virginia to Colorado.
