About KJB

The domain name probably gave it away, but I’m Kevin.

For over a decade, I’ve walked, pedaled, or driven through neighborhoods from Kingsbridge in the Bronx to Queenstown in New Zealand to document people, places, and things.

The scenes that catch my eyes have clean & geometric lines, are illuminated with natural light, and tell me a story. Whether it’s a morning commute, a fall hike, or a trudge through a blizzard, I try to catch the moments that usually pass by unnoticed.

The places in my photos matter as much as the people or objects moving through them. I’m interested in how we live in and move through built environments (parks, bridges, sidewalks) and how those spaces shape our daily moments.

You can browse my photo galleries: New York City and Everywhere Else, or read from the journal I kept in 2015, when I biked from Virginia to Colorado.

When I’m not taking photos or videos, I’m likely with my wife and family playing
Animal Packs, original animal-based card games we created inspired by the Woodland animals of the Northeast.

If you'd like to follow along or just say hey, here’s my Instagram. For inquiries or exhibitions, feel free to reach out to me at Hoot@PlayAnimalPacks.com.
